Welcome to openoffice.org!

You are now a registered member of OpenOffice.org.
This mail message is the first of two; the second message will contain
your
new password. It may take some time to reach you; please be patient.

<snip>

We don't need a password.

I think you are talking about the OpenOffice forum
http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/ which is *not* us.

Please see the FAQs (link top right) on its web page. In particular the ones
headed "I registered but cannot login!" and "Why can't I login?"

Freida, it is clear you are referring to the main OpenOffice.org web site. In this case you need to send an email to webmaster 'at' openoffice.org and ask about your registration problem, I'm sure they can clear it up for you. Not sure this has any bearing but on the day you registered the site was undergoing a number of changes and a major release was being rolled out, if there was going to be a glitch that would be a good time for one to happen. Also the webmasters there have been a bit busy with the updates to the site, so that could be a reason for some delay in responding.

FYI - there really is nothing you can't do on the as a visitor ( while you wait to get this cleared up ) with the exception of filling bug reports. All of features should be available without requiring a log in.

@Harold - thanks for helping promote the new Community Forum - it's always appreciated.;>)

@Frida - regarding the web baed forums, seeing that you are from the Netherlands, you may be interested to know that we also have a French language forum available at http://user.services.openoffice.org/fr ( These forums do require a separate registration form the main web site, for the time being, unfortunately )

Drew.

Drew, thank you for setting me, and the questioner, on the right road.
