Hi everyone

I've noticed a strange difference in the way that the AutoFilter function
works under Linux and Windows. I'm using 2.3.1 and have a large multi-tab
spreadsheet created. One tab is used to enter data which is then displayed
on the tabs in various ways. I use the AutoFilter function to make the data
entry easier.

In one column are group names, and sub groups in the next column. So for nine
groups I have 1, 2 and 3 in the first column and a, b and c in the second
giving 1a, 1b, 1c, 2a etc.

If I select 2 in the first column, then I get the chance to select a, b, or c
in the second.

That functions both in Windows and Linux.

But if I want to go from 2a to 2b there is a difference - under Windows I
still get the choice of a, b or c when I click on the drop down list for the
second column, but under Linux (which is what I mostly use) I first have to
select "all" in the second column and then select "b".

In both Ubuntu and Suse with Kde I have to make 2 selections to change from a
to b. In Windows it is 1. This would appear to be something to do with the
operating system, though it may be a difference in the Windows and Linux
compilations of OO.

I can't think why 2 selections would be better than 1in such a case and would
like to know if it's possible to change this by hand, or whether it needs a
more fundamental change in the program.

Unfortunately, in this case, the Windows solution is much more comfortable.
Can anyone out there suggest how I can change this?

Thanks in advance

Andy
