Help please. I have upgraded to version 2.4 of OpenOffice but tried to
uninstall version 2.3.1... before doing so.

Going to *Control Panel => Add Remove Programs* the version of Open Office
for 2.3 does not show.???

What do you suggest?

I have tried to update 2.3 but it will not allow it. Get the following
message.

A newer version of OpenOffice.org 2.3 was found. To
install an older version, the newer version needs to be
removed first.

Now is that because I have installed OpenOffice 2.4 ?

If versons 2.3 and 2.4 can be used concurrently and I received and update
Icon on my tool bar why won't the 2.3 version install?

Why do I need 2.3 if I have 2.4? I don't know that I do so... How do I
delete 2.3?

Thank you for the help

Tory Zimmerman

There is a known bug in the Microsoft installer that can cause this problem. See: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

Hope this helps.
