Hi Irfan,
I had that same problem on one of my Vista machines and it turned out to
be a faulty MS Installer. I had a problem installing a game that had
nothing whatsoever to do with OOo and when I downloaded a new installer
from MS, I was able to install both programs. The error message when
trying to install either program was the same, telling me the CD was
corrupt. I don't know if this is your problem or not but you can do a
Google search on the error code or try replacing your MS installer at
microsoft.com
