Merely a message to those interested in the OOo splash-sheet error : I
downloaded 281 (sic !) Hardy updates this afternoon, and one of them must
have corrected the discrepancy in the splash sheet ; when I click my Writer
icon, the splash sheet now informs me that it is indeed OpenOffice.org 2.4
that is loaded. Three cheers for Ubuntu updates !...
