Ted, I have found RevoUninstaller (http://www.revouninstaller.com/) a useful tool in completely removing stubborn files when uninstalling unwanted programmes in Windows. You might want to consider installing this programme and then using it to uninstall remaining OO.o 2.3.1 files, before attempting once again to install OO.o 2.4.... Henri
