The next version is expected to have a stable converter for these files. But why would you or anyone want to use these orphan formats. Be aware that Office 2007 .docx and other formats will be updated soon and the existing format will be orphaned. It is recommended that all Office 2007 users save in the older .doc formats for the moment. http://www.sutor.com/newsite/blog-open/?p=2031 Note that while some Microsoft employees actually dispute some points raised here in the comments nobody disputes his main claim. In fact Jason Matusow of Microsoft backs it up. *** QUOTE *** Open XML will change through the process in JTC 1 (as it did during the Ecma process), and it will continue to change over time through the ongoing maintenance of the specification. ************* Office 2007 and a half format anyone? -- Michael All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well - Julian of Norwich 1342 - 1416 --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
