(Top-posting continued; sorry all) Sorry for the misunderstanding. A quick search on google came up with http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=40666 which may offer ideas - particularly, you could record a macro, save it, and assign to a key sequence. Not tidy, but the best solution I've seen.
