Are you referring to Microsoft's Access database program? If so, you won't find it in OpenOffice, because it's proprietary and costs a fair bit of money. What you will find is "Base", which is the database app included with OpenOffice.


Lisette, did you maybe download but not install? If so, just double-click on the downloaded file and follow the installation process. When you're done, you should find a folder for OpenOffice.org in your Start menu, and you'll find icons for the various components of OOo in there. You can copy those shortcuts to your desktop if you'd like. As James said, the component that's like MS Access is called Base.
