I don't see anywhere on there the delays inherent in producing
versions for various language/OS combinations. IIRC, the 2.3.1
release for Mac happened just prior to the release of 2.4.0 for
everybody else. Add to that the delays in getting packages onto the
BitTorrent tracker [there are still only a handful of 2.3.1 packages
out there for P2P transmission]. So saying it was released on the
26th is not the same as saying that every possible user can find a
release for their system today...
