Dear Brian, Guy, Richard: Thank you so much! What a result! Problem cracked! (Two of the solutions seemed to me to be completely different ones, but they both worked, so I'm not going to argue). So that's 2 of my 4 out of the way! I'll come back to the others later. TS ----- Original Message ----- From: "Brian Barker" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Michael Adams has kindly suggested that I send a small sample doc to illustrate my endnote problem. It is that OO won't at present let me have endnotes in the same font ('Charter') as the text, unless I convert each note individually. My docs were all converted from Word to OOWriter some while ago.

o Right-click in one of the endnotes (not the second one) and choose Edit Paragraph Style... | Font.
o Select your required font (etc.) there.

This changes the font of the "Endnote" paragraph style and will change most of your endnotes. But your second endnote will not behave itself since you have changed the style of that one to Default and applied character formatting. To undo this:

o Select all of that endnote.
o Go to Format | Default Formatting (or Ctrl+Shift+Space). This undoes your character formatting. o Go to Format | Styles and Formatting and select the Paragraph Styles button. o With the cursor in the second endnote, double-click "Endnote" style in the Styles and Formatting window.

I trust this helps.
