You following me 'round the 'net, Gene? :) It's simple: she comes to me with a variation of "can you remove virus || fix computer" and I say "sure!". But I've learned not to convince people to use Linux. Quite the opposite, I let them see Compiz-Fusion and some other goodies, and I throw lots of comments about how all the software on my machine is 100% paid for yet didn't cost me a shekel, or I mention how my computer runs so fast because I don't run anti-virus || anti-spyware || anti-adware || anti-malwareOfTheMonth. I then tell them casually that Linux is not designed for mainstream use because you need to enter a password before installing programs. Then _they_ decide that entering a password before installing programs is worth all the other benefits. 4) ??? 5) Profit!!!! I will mention here that I lost a user last week because many local websites require IE. That is the single biggest reason that people are not switching, from what I've seen. I don't install IE4Linux for my users, for many reasons. I am on a campaign to make more websites Firefox-compatible, if someone is interested to help then please contact me off-list. Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
