Probably not But if you buy Microsoft Office 2007 will you be able to run the resultant presentation on 90%+ of the computers running Microsoft Office 97, 2000, XP, 2002, 2003? Probably not. Both OpenOffice.org and Office 2007 are capable of saving in multiple formats (like office 97/2000/XP formats) for interoperability. You will be able to open files sent from other OpenOffice.org users which Office users probably can't.
