Hi
This is very puzzling. If you have openoffice.org OOo) installed on
your computer, you should not need a password to run it. If you have
saved your own files from OOo with a password, that would be a different
matter.
Can you send more details of exactly what you are trying to do -
install OOo, open old documents, log onto a website etc. and we may be
able to help you more.

OK, I received the following:
Yes, well that sums it up - I had open office downloaded to my computer,
set it up with a password, and cannot access my files at this time. I
will reattempt to open up my files with my password, but its not working
- this is exactly what I mean.
Seems (s)he has password protected files which aren't opening.

There are some utilities available which claim to be able to "crack" OOo
passwords. I have no idea how useful they are, but OOo encryption is
supposed to be extremely good.
There is an OOo macro at
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=87718&package_id=173080
and some "commercial" utilities - do a search on "openoffice password
cracker" and you will see what I mean, together with some cautions about
their use :-)
