Six of one & half a dozen of the other I think. On the one hand, if you
carry the folder+contents you don't spend the time it takes to unpack the
origianl file; on the other hand, copying the folder+contents will take
longer than copying the original file. So it might well depend on the speed
of the computer you're installing on. Space might also be a consideration,
will the folder+contents fit on your thumb drive?

Why not carry the Portable Apps version (www.portableapps.com)? That can be
installed on a user's machine, or on a user's thumb drive or on a user's CD.
It can also be run directly (as a demo, for instance) without touching the
user's machine. You could also carry the portable versions of Thunderbird
and Firefox, on the same thumb drive, so you have all your e-mail addresses,
filters etc. & bookmarks where ever you go ...
