Which is definitivly not suitable for a Windows file system where you
have blocks up to 64 kByte even your RAW message is only 5 kByte...

On my FileServer I have ext3 on my Maildir partition with 72 GByte (SCSI
Raid-1 + HotFix) where the blocksize is 1 kByte and I have 13 million
INODES...

I have currently arround 8.3 million messages stored where 99% are from
mailinglists and the last 9 years (since 1999).

In real, "Mh" or "Maildir" would kill any Microsoft Windows Systems and
I can not recommend it!

Thanks, Greetings and nice Day
