That shouldn’t matter that I can see. The beta program installs itself
by default in the folder OpenOffice.org 3 instead of in the folder
OpenOffice.org 2.4.
If you have outside programs that call OpenOffice.org as I do, you
probably should have only one running at a time which you can do by
setting the Quickstarter on in one version only.
I plan to run the beta version only, unless I get into trouble, in which
case it is easy enough to set the beta Quickstarter not to come up, then
turn off the beta Quickstarter and call up the old program.
I have also made some versions of our commonly used external programs to
call OpenOffice.org only from the folder OpenOffice.org 3 if it gets
into trouble and has to recall OpenOffice.org.
