Please tell us exactly what you did, step by step, then maybe someone can answer your question. It's 100% impossible to tell what you are doing wrong when you don't even tell what you try to do. Where did the failure occur? When downloading? When installing? When trying to start the program? When spell checking? When creating and testing a very advanced macro? Also, system information would be very useful: What operating system/distro/desktop manager are you using (Windows XP? OS X? GNU/Linux Ubuntu 8.04? FreeBSD etc?)? What version of OpenOffice.org? Maybe some hardware information could be useful too, at least in some rare cases: How much internal memory? What processor speed etc? J.R.
