You really need to provide more data. Dialup? Modem? Connection speed? Router? XP SP status? It could be something as simple as increasing a holdover time for loss of carrier or your system isn't sending keep-alive signals during long incoming data transmission and your ISP decides you're not there and closes the connection to line problems to much more technical issues. I'm on DSL and my ISP did that to me; the problem was, I wasn't sending a keep-alive often enough; it killed the connection after 180 seconds of "inactivity" from my side. Tweaked that, and all went fine afterwards. As I think it was Hennie mentioned, you can also get it on CD/DVD for a nominal fee right from OO.o if all else fails.
