Openoffice does not offer those programs - they must be obtained from 
microsoft. It does offer programs called writer, calc and impress 
which have similar functionality.

Assuming you have downloaded the distribution kit from the OOo site, 
which will have a name something like 
OOo_2.4.0_Win32Intel_install_wJRE_en-US.exe, you need to run this to 
install the software; your start menu will then have new entries for 
the OOo programs - drag these to the desktop if you wish.
