Before using Add/Remove Programs have you ensured that there are no pieces of OpenOffice.org running - especially the Quickstarter? If the Quickstarter is running there will be an icon for it in the *System Tray*. The icon is grey and has two flying birds pictured on it. Right click on this icon and choose Exit from the context menu. Then try Add/Remove again. If you are *sure* no OOo processes are running then try http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301 which does not use Add/Remove Programs and which is designed by Microsoft to fix a bug in its [un-]installation mechanisms. -- Harold Fuchs London, England Please reply *only* to [email protected]
