I need a table in Impress that isn't a "table." I can do Insert > Table and it enters a table on the slide. But that is not what I want. I want a table such as it would appear in Writer, without borders. I want to use "table" as a means to align the columns. For example, I want:

left aligned column right aligned column right aligned column

I can't figure any way to do this in Impress. For example, I can separate the items with tabs, but then all are left-aligned.

Surely there is a way to do this. I am just new to Impress and haven't figured out how yet.

It sounds as if all you need - in addition to what you already know about - is right tabs, rather than the default left tabs.

o Go to View | Ruler to display the rulers.
o Select the text material.
o Click in the horizontal ruler where you want the tabs, setting those for your middle and right columns where you want the right alignment to occur - at the right of the columns, that is. o (With the material still selected) go to Format | Paragraph... | Tabs (or right-click | Paragraph... | Tabs) and modify the relevant tabs from Left to Right there.

Alternatively, you could skip the ruler and just create the tabs at the last step, of course.

I trust this helps.
