In a way, yes, I'm blaming a few PGP users for improper usage of the
methodology and for not knowing more about it. And yes, of course they
be posted; I never said they didn't/wouldn't get posted. Just that some
clients see them as blank posts with a file attachment.

No, not a fact. There is nothing going on enroute. OE and others
like it, due to the PGP improper signature use, presents the posts as
blank posts with a file attachment. OE CAN be tweaked to not do that,
but then you give up some security, which I do not choose to do, and
those less experienced should not try to mess with it. Since the issue
at hand affects well over 90% of the people on the 'net, that in turn
says it's going to look that way to a great many users here. Just
simple statement of fact; if people choose to ignore or not research it
to find out for themselves, that's fine. It's not near as big a deal as
people are making of it; some folks will just bypass the posts and if
that's acceptable ...

I don't have an issue. The only thing that got me interested in this
was a subcomment in another thread that made me curious, so I looked
into it. Prior to that, and since that little bit of research ended, I
simply bypass blank posts with attachments. I don't really care whether
anyone else cares about that or not, but I do tend to get involved
whenever I see misinformation or think clarification of some points are
in order. Both happened here.

That said however, I'm tiring of the thread and will likely make this my
last post to it. AFAIC everything has been said that needs being said.
Parrots can parrot it, closed minds can flame it, and open minds can do
the research and confirmation/clarifications on their own now;
everything needed has been presented.
I would however respond to serious OT marked posts for links to
further information, clarification, whatever but that's as far as it
goes now.

Regards,

Twayne
