I have about 500 children that I need to track and ensure that they are returned to their parents at the conclusion of the event. I envision a database that contains 10-12 data elements for each child. When the parents bring their child(ren) I need to: 1) Query their Last Name 2) Select the correct person 3) Print a label / wristband for child 4) Print a "card" to give the parents for presentation when they return for their child.
I've used Open Office for years as a "user" and now feel I must do some development work to create this application. Is there a How-To tutorial that would point me in the right direction. Is something similar already developed that I could customize?
