I use open office on 5 company computers
OS MS XP home have no problems.
On the laptops and PC with XP Pro I can not save Documents as sxc or
any other OOff format.
The Document saves as an unknown that is a File only.
When I open the file it asks to browse for an application. I choose OOff
and it opens.
When I generate a PDF again sames as above but if I reopen and save
using the save to file it will then save correctly, that is it knows it
is a PDF.
May times I need to generate my documents on another computer, transfer
to my computer and then it save as an OOff doc on my computer and I can
edit etc.
In summary my computer will not save docs when I generate directly with
my OS MS XP Pro 2002 with service pack 2
I have uninstall reload etc it does it with OOff 2.4 and 2.2. This
problem is new on my laptop, to start with everything worked as you
would expect.
So do not know if it is a change from a MS update or a change I have
made in OOff
