I had submitted a request for attention to a matter where no OO icon was available under the assumption that OO was properly installed. I stipulate that OO was, assumedly, properly installed because it wasn't, in fact, properly installed.
There was another issue, where the installation files given me for OO were corrupted but as soon as I used uncorrupted install files, the icons appeared as would be expected by a healthy installation that was properly integrated with the desktop.
