This is almost certainly nothing to do with Calc but instead with your operating system. I'm guessing (because you don't say), but it looks as though you are in Canada and are using Windows. In that case, it is probable that you have some variety of English keyboard (where the slash is at the bottom right) but that your Windows installation thinks that you are using one of the Canadian keyboard layouts (where the slash is either at top left or above the "3").
It may be that your system is set up to handle multiple keyboard layouts, in which case you may by mistake have hit the keyboard shortcut to cycle between the installed options. Look in your Taskbar (normally at the bottom of the screen). Do you see "FR"? If so, right-click it and select the correct option for your actual keyboard layout - probably "EN" (or one of them).
If you don't have any "EN" available, or if you wish to suppress the "FR" permanently so as to avoid this problem, go to Control Panel | Regional and Language Options to find your remedy. (But don't remove the "FR" if another user of the system may require it.)
I trust this helps. Brian Barker --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
