I just switched to Open Office 2.4 because naturally the MS Office
Enterprise 2007 expired in my PC. I have a Vista Basic desktop
1.5GB. Just the other day I was able to fill out a form online that
I downloaded from LCBO.com. That same form has now become readonly
and a little window indicates the following when attempting to type:
Readonly content cannot be changed. No modifications will be accepted.
Kindly advise as how to overcome this problem.

Yes it is a PDF form and I managed to edit the form saving it as a
Starwriter form. However I was caught off guard at the fact that I
wasn't able to do what I had done a couple of days earlier with MS
Office Enterprise. It drove me a little whacky. Is this a situation
that will be resolved with OpenOffice soon ?
Content can be protected in Writer in a number of ways, depending on
exactly what is protected.
The most likely is that your document has protected sections.
o Go to Format | Sections... .
o Select each section in the panel on the left, and in each case -
as necessary - remove the tick from Protected under "Write protection".
Or it may be that individual cells of a table are protected.
o In the relevant cell, use right-click | Cell > | Unprotect.
I trust this helps.
