You cant. I have to tell all my clients and anyone else to has a new computer
and is running Office to click Save As and find the .doc ext.
I dont know if it helps but you might tell people you know to:
Click the Yellow circle on the top Left Hand corner,
click Word Options.
choose the Save tab
change the default setting from .docx to .doc.
