I have asked this question a month ago, and again two weeks
ago, but never really recieved an answer.

Let me tell you why an answer is really important.

I am trying to convert a presentation I made to Austin
Linux Group to a form that can be shown on Austin Community
Television.

Currently Open Office is not much help with this conversion.

This is the procedure I use now:

I do a convert to .html, throw the .html away and use the images,
which I import into DVD-slideshow which converts to video. I record
the audio with audacity. This would be a difficult for the typical Joe
Sixpack presenter.

This is important because I am not unique.

It occurs to me that there are public access television stations
all over the country:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_access_stations_(United_States)

Furthermore, there are Linux groups all over the country:
http://www.linuxlinks.com/UserGroups/North_America/United_States/

Most presentations made to Linux groups are Open Office.

If every presentation made to a Linux group could be quickly and
easily converted to video, and put on public access television it
would be a great boon to Free Software, Open Source Software, Linux
and OpenOffice as well.

The Proprieatry products could not do this because of the non commercial
rules.

OpenOffice is really dropping the ball by not having usable sound and
easy conversion to video.

The first step to getting all this to work is to get sound working,
hence my question.

P.S. I have also tried the latest Ubuntu version with same results
as noted below.
