Open Office needs X11 to give you its display, so that's why X11 is
starting. Just let it start, then you can minimize the XTerminal.
Then Open Office starts up, and it is not instantaneous. Give it
some time [it might take up to a minute the 1st time, depending upon
how much CPU you have].
