I use impress to build lectures for an on-line course I teach.
I then have to open them in Micro$oft powerpoint to add audio narration to each file. Then I feed them to Impatica for powerpoint (http://www.impatica.com/imp4ppt/) to convert them to a web presentation and upload them to the University's teaching site.

It is a really slick process even though I have to use powerpoint.

However, I screwed up with a couple of lectures and did not save the presentation _without_ the narration. After I add the narration the file is 48 Mb. Before adding the narration the file size was 4 Mb.

So the question is - does anyone know how I can strip the narration from the file, saving only the slides ?

(BTW, for those who are interested, after Impatica processes the file, the .jar file containing the presentation, including the narration, is only 5 Mb)

I thought I would see what happened if I saved it as an Impress file (.odp) - file size went down to 2 Mb - and the narration remained. I wonder what Micro$haft put in the other 46Mb ?

The question remains about stripping the narration, but it is less important now.
