I have downloaded OpenOffice, but when I try to execute it from either my
"programs" list, or from the shortcut on my desktop, I only get a blank
Internet Explorer page. Do I need to erase and Re-download, or is there another way to
activate. I've not used Open Office before, and am eager to take if for a test drive.
Thanks.

Did you also install it?
Download OpenOffice from www.openoffice.org. Double click on the
downloaded file, to start the installation process. This will take you
through a few configuration panels, where you can generally use the
default values. After the install is complete, there should be an
OpenOffice folder & icons in your Start menu. Use the icons to start
the various OpenOffice components.
