You are talking in Microsoft-speak, I'm afraid. OpenOffice Writer
calls this functionality "Changes - Record".

You may want to consider upgrading to the current version: 2.4.1.
A few days ago I edited a document and used the track changes
command. It highlighted and underlined my changes in red. I saved
and now I want to make more changes, but want it to show as part of
the same series of changes. When I track changes now it highlights
and underlines in blue.
The default setting is for the colour to change with author, so that
the changes made by different authors are clearly delineated. If you
hover the cursor over any change, you will see a Help Tip showing
which author made that change (providing you have not disabled Help
Tips). If the colour has changed, it must be because you have logged
in as a different user or used a different machine or otherwise
changed the author information at Tools | Options... | OpenOffice.org
| User Data. Writer has automatically moved on to its second colour
choice, which is evidently blue.
How can I change it to highlight and underline all in the same color?
Either:
o change your user identity back to the original one, so that Writer
automatically returns to its default first colour, or
o go to Tools | Options... | OpenOffice.org Writer | Changes, where
you can choose to set the colours explicitly, instead of having the
default setting of "By author".
I trust this helps.
