It sounds like you are using the "Open' option on the same program that
you downloaded, which is the installation program. If that is the case,
it's doing exactly what you are telling it to do, when that program
"Opens', it installs OpenOffice on your computer for you. If you want to
run the programs that are installed by the installation file, look on
your Start Menu under OpenOffice.org.
