In Writer, if I use a Heading style with Numbering style and this Numbering style includes some text Before or After the auto-number, only Save as TXT or Export to PDF save the Before or After text; saving as HTML or RTF misses it. For example: I have a style that automatically inserts "Section " before and " - " after the corresponding number. Saving as TXT and exporting to PDF correctly shows "Section 1 - Bla bla...", but saving as HTML or RTF results in "1 Bla bla...".
I cannot reproduce your problem with saving as RTF - which works as expected for me (version 2.4.1. under Windows XP). The only problem is with saving as HTML.
Is this list the right place to report this issue?
You can report issues at the web site. Start here: http://qa.openoffice.org/issue_handling/pre_submission.html .
Is it already dealt with?
Don't know.
Do you folks know a quick way to circumvent this inconvenience?
As I say, the only problem I see is with saving as HTML. To avoid this, create a new HTML document (File | New > | HTML Document) and paste your material there. Import or create anew the numbering style that you need. Save.
