In Writer, if I use a Heading style with Numbering style and this

Do you folks know a quick way to circumvent this inconvenience?
As I say, the only problem I see is with saving as HTML. To avoid
this, create a new HTML document (File | New > | HTML Document) and
paste your material there. Import or create anew the numbering
style that you need. Save.
No way. It does not survive a close and reopen.
Sorry, but you may have to do a little better than just saying "No
way"! You asked for a workaround and I suggested something that
certainly works for me. Without more detail, no-one can tell what
you may be doing wrong.
Is it possible that you did not read my suggestion above sufficiently
carefully? Instead of using a normal "Text Document" in Writer,
create what it calls an "HTML Document". Paste your material in
there. Now create the numbering style you need in that document - or
perhaps import it from your existing document. This new document
should not show the problems you describe.
I trust this helps.
