Jennifer, I just forwarded the message from [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Richard Detweiler) about his newsletter, so you should probably correspond with him about it. When you aren't subscribed to the mailing list, you can miss messages when people forget to cc you, and I waned to make sure you saw his message. The best plan is generally to use the list for all communications, because others in the user community might have more information for you. Many people on the list don't see e-mails about OOo that go to their private e-mails, they get lost in the filters. I'm posting this back to the list, too, so chances are Richard will see it there.

You can subscribe to the list by sending an e-mail (no subject or content required) to [EMAIL PROTECTED], then replying to the confirmation e-mail you get. The list is *very* active, so some people choose to follow it through a newsgroup instead, or by looking at the message archives, but in any case it's a very valuable way to learn about OOo and get your questions answered.

Welcome to OOo!

A look at your newsletter would be awesome. Give me an idea of how to use it and what it can do. Thanks for your help on this!!! I am going to go ahead and download the applications and get started on learning how to use it. I'm excited that this is free and that it is as good if not better than office. I hate putting out so much money for something that shouldn't cost THAT much. Thanks again! God Bless,
Jennifer
