I have imported an MS Word document into OOo Dev300m29 running on Mac OS X 10.5.4.

I cannot speak for that version or that operating system, in fact. But I may be able to offer something useful.

Multiple paragraphs extend beyond the right Text Boundary.

The page margins restrict text entered normally, but not the extent of tables, frames, sections, and graphics (and perhaps other things?). All of these things may have no borders, so they may not betray their extent in the printed document.

How do I correct this so that all of the text is within the Text Boundaries?

If necessary, go to Tools | Options... | OpenOffice.org | Appearance | Custom colors, and ensure that "Object boundaries" and "Table boundaries" (as well as "Text boundaries") are ticked. You should then be able to see the boundary of any table, frame, or section which is overhanging the page margins. Now move your cursor near the edge of the text area.

o If you see the cursor change to a bar with double arrows (with the help tip "Adjust table column" or "Adjust table row"), you have a table. Drag the boundary or go to Table | Table Properties... | Table and change the properties there.

o If you see the cursor change to a normal arrow, you have a frame. Click there and you will see the eight green handles. Drag the handles or go to Format | Frame... | Type to adjust its properties.

o Put the cursor into the relevant text. Go to Format | Sections... Are any sections listed in the box at the left? If so, the selected one is the one containing the cursor. Press Options... and adjust the values on the Indents tab.

Alternatively, you could delete any such object, having previously cut the text and pasted it into the page normally.

[Or, is this simply a problem with OOo Dev300m29?]

Possibly not.

I trust this helps.
