A little moment to ask attention for the latest version of CT2N – Convert Text To Number (and date):

Especially of interest for those fighting / playing / studying numbers and dates. This version includes conversion of date-strings in two modes: limited and full OOo-date conversion. The idea and first step to implement text-date conversion came from one of the users. As many other ideas came from users. By the way: really interesting to see what strange things (in my eyes) people do with numbers and formatting in spreadsheets ;-)

I have the impression that few useful features extra might be possible, so don't hesitate to write...

Not quite on topic but what about an extension that does degrees/minutes/seconds so for example Amsterdam is 52° 22' 0" North and 4° 53' 0" East

I was very surprised a few months ago, when someone asked in this list, that Calc doesn't have any facilities for inputting/formatting such values or for doing arithmetic on them. I'm sure there are people out there who would value such an addition.

Pls accept my kind thanks for the suggestion Harold - I wouldn't have thought about it myself - but at the moment I'm primarily interested in suggestions / ideas on the text-number issue ;-)

Best,
Cor
