Hello to all
First is there an easy way of adding a number of words to a custom
dictionary? Secondly If I make a custom dictionary named Gorean and
turn it off does this then remove the gorean words from spell checking?
I need to add about 450 words, would be nice if I could do them a batch at a
time.
Thank you
Hi Roy
Welcome aboard.
You can certainly set up a custom dictionary in Tools-Options-Language
Settings-Writing Aids. This can be turned on and off by enabling the
tick (check) against its name. When you right click an underlined
(misspelled, unrecognised) word, adding the word to the new dictionary
will become an option
There is a macro which is supposed to add words to a specialist
dictionary. I have not tried it, so can't vouch for usefulness. Note
that there is a limit of (I think) 2500 words per dictionary. The list
is plain text, so easy to edit if you need to

If you uncheck the gorean list, then the words will again be shown as
unrecognised.
