I'm trying to use Impress to present a talk on computer history.
I've made up a set of 50+ slides which are all fairly simple
text plus some images. I'm using animation effects to bring in
points on the slides, but nothing fancy, just a simple fly-in from the left.
When I try to run it on an otherwise quiet machine the response is pretty
awful - several seconds, and nasty pauses half-way through a transition.
The CPU usage of soffice.bin varies between 60-99% all the time, even
when nothing is happening. Should this be the case?

- Can you pls write which specs for your PC, OS, version OOo?
- And can you send me the presentation (off list) so that I can do some
testing?
