I had both versions 2 and beta 3 installed. When I tried to do a new update to version 2 it said that it could not update because I had a newer version installed.
I uninstalled version 3. Tried again to update version 2. Same error. I completely uninstalled version 2. I rebooted. I tried to load a brand new download of version 2. It gave me the same error ! Is there an *.ini or registry entry that does not remove? I have XP PRO sp3, 2.5 gb ram, tons of disk. Please help me solve this problem. I love openoffice !!!!!! I miss it terribly.
