Click on Help > About OpenOffice.org to see the version. Bear in mind
that some Linux distros have there own version, which may not have the
same number as others. While you can get the latest from
www.openoffice.org, there may be a process for Ubuntu, for getting the
latest Ubuntu version. As I don't use Ubuntu, I can't help with that.
