I tried to convert a WP document with the OOWriter to odt, but had some problems. Then I found the Zanzar (http://www.zamzar.com/) with which I had better results. At least it did not insert extra colors where none where specified, which were sometimes very difficult to remove.

Has anybody here tried any other conversion programs to convert wpd files and with what results?

And another conversion problem: I have some wpg graphics, which as far as I can see cannot be inserted in an odt document.

I just found out that that is not accurate: Wpg graphics can be inserted by copy from Presentations and paste in an odt document.

 These wpg graphics
were usually made with a basic bmp image on which names were attached, some following a curved base line etc. When I tried to save such graphics as simple jpg images, the letters did not come out so clear. I have considered using PrntScrn, but I may have to edit the names inside the graphics. How should you suggest that I handle these graphics so I can use them in an odt document or further edit them in OODraw?

I found wpg2odg.exe with which I can convert wpg graphics to odg ones, though a 73 Kb file became a 3472 Kb one. But is there another way - except for copy and paste - to insert them (or wpg graphics) in an odt document? The odg extension is not included in the Insert Picture From File... list. I would prefer to have only a link to the graphic in the odt document rather than the graphic itself, so I can edit it independently.
