Subject: printing problems
Hi,
Love open office, but I have just installed a new printer and color
is all faded. The printer is a Canon Pixma MP210 and I have contacted
Canon and they tell me it is not a printer problem with them. If I
print direct from the internet or other programes it prints fine. IT
IS ONLY WHEN I PRINT WITH OPEN OFFICE. Any suggestions, as I have
just spent 3 months on a project in Open Office and need to print it
off urgently. It is a present for someone who's having a baby.
Please, please help.
Kind regards.
Tracy

TRACY, Please address your comments/questions to [email protected]
and not to me personally. I may not have the answer you seek (I do
not use Canon printers) but maybe someone on the users list will have.
Tracy, I don't know what is causing the problem, but is the printer
maybe set to draft quality when you print from OOo? That could make it
try to conserve ink and fade the colors. Check the print dialog and the
printer properties to see if there's something going on there when you
print from OOo.
A suggestion, if you haven't already tried it: use File > Export as PDF
and look at the PDF file (using Adobe Reader or another PDF viewer). If
the colors are OK there, print the PDF.
