When I reviewed the options in Windows Contacts for exporting the database, it does not provide a choice for the old address book format.

As a workaround, do the options provided include any format that can be accessed by OpenOffice? (See Other external data source | Settings | Database type for possibilities.) Sorry, but I do not have Vista available to test this.
