by the way, starting with 2.6.26, and thanks to maks also known as
Maximilian Attems (= Debian package maintainer) Debian now provides
official OpenVZ kernels as well (just check with apt-cache search ...).

I think first step would be getting these changes into the official
version of OpenVZ :-)
At the moment this is just something I'm doing on my own. Once it is
all working, and if enough folks find it useful, and I've acted on all
the feedback from the OpenVZ developers, then I expect it will be
incorporated into the product. At that point I expect it would go into
the standard Debian distribution. But that would be up to the Debian
maintainers.
