Greetings,

Oracle released Oracle Linux 7 today. It's a clone of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

I uploaded the following to the contributed precreated OS Templates
(http://download.openvz.org/template/precreated/contrib/):

oracle-7-x86_64-20140723.tar.xz 23-Jul-2014 19:14 101M
oracle-7-x86_64-20140723.tar.xz.asc 23-Jul-2014 19:14 198
oracle-7-x86_64-minimal-20140723.tar.xz 23-Jul-2014 19:14 66M
oracle-7-x86_64-minimal-20140723.tar.xz.asc 23-Jul-2014 19:14 198

Within the OS Templates, inside of /root/ you can find:

create-oracle7minimal-ostemplate.sh
crate-oracle7-ostemplate.sh

Those are the scripts I used to build these two OS Templates from scratch with
yum. They should work fine from within an Oracle Linux 7 physical machine, VM,
or container. The OS Template build scripts are fairly simple and do not
bother to turn on and off various services... so however services are
configured from the stock install is what you get. So, when you create a
container with either of those OS Templates... you'll probably want to use
systemctl to enable and disable desired services... but you usually have to do
that anyway, right? Luckily sshd is on by default.

Kir, would you please refresh the HTML OS Template page? Thanks!

Enjoy,
