Hi, We're planning to migrate from iSCSI /LVM to mirrored GlusterFS to reach fail-over. As I did read here<http://community.gluster.org/q/can-i-use-glusterfs-as-an-alternative-network-storage-backing-for-vm-hosting/> GlusterFS isn't actually the best solution for big VM images? (by the way what means big here?)
Does anybody here can share his experience with using GlusterFS, how many VMs are running and what is the expected IO per second for a VM ? (I know this can differ enormously) We have about Perhaps somebody here already uses 3.3 (with self-healing) ? I'm pretty looking forward to GlusterFS 3.4, as the new features seem to be "made" for RHEV/oVirt. Thanks in advance for your feedback! Best, Sven.
